Grassroots Business Fund

supporting smes

Since 2004

WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR OVER 18 YEARS.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

The work of Grassroots Business Fund (GBF) is aimed to economically empower high-impact small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – competitive companies whose business models increase incomes and/or lower costs in low-income communities – in Africa, Asia and Latin America, by providing investment capital and access to technical assistance services.

GBF works toward a world where economic opportunity reaches everyone.

GBF’s dynamic and diverse team of experts specialize in investment consulting, impact advisory services, strategy formulation, commercial due diligence and project finance.

We have managed over $100 million from government agencies, development financial institutions and private foundations and investors.

we generate

A GREAT IMPACT.

By supporting inclusive SMEs that create opportunity for economic mobility and  generate incomes for thousands of people from underserved communities, GBF contributes to poverty alleviation and economic growth for vulnerable communities at a higher scale.

The bulk of the economic benefits deriving from GBF’s investees go to the agricultural out-growers, artisans, workers, entrepreneurs and consumers of goods and services, key players in their value chains.
