Villa Andina (VA) is a Peruvian company that buys agricultural products from small-scale farmers, dehydrates the produce in its processing plant, and sells in local and export markets. VA works with over 150 families of small scale farmers in the Cajamarca region of Peru, providing technical assistance in organic and sustainable crop management. The company’s main products are quinoa, maca, dehydrated aguaymanto, and mango.

In 2011, GBF committed a loan to Villa Andina to help the company scale and strengthen operations through the acquisition of land, expansion of a new bigger plant, and working capital.

GBF has focused its support on developing Villa Andina’s financial management systems, improving operations, and implementing strategic planning.  With support from GBF, Villa Andina has distinguished their products with certifications like fair trade and organic.
