GBF Partners with LGT Venture Philanthropy to Employ the iCats Program

The Grassroots Business Fund (GBF), a global organization that provides investment capital and capacity building to businesses that create economic opportunities at the base of the pyramid, announces that it will be partnering with LGT Venture Philanthropy (LGT VP) to employ their iCats Fellowship Program.

Chosen through a selective application process, iCats Fellows will be placed with GBF’s portfolio companies. Two GBF iCats Fellows will be selected to work in Africa and Asia in 2012 for 11 months to support the businesses’ human capacity, financial management and other strategic areas. Candidates can apply via the iCats Program platform until the November 20, 2011. Click here to view the open positions.

Based on a successful track record, LGT Venture Philanthropy iCats Program will bring additional experience and talent to GBF’s current capacity building program, which includes improvements to corporate governance, general management, reporting, management information systems (MIS), and business/financial planning.

The iCats Program allows GBF to work hand-in-hand with LGT VPs’ team to attract, select, prepare and mentor highly professional and passionate GBF iCats Fellows.  For more information on iCats Program, click here: http://icatsprogram.com.
