SELFINA

Rehema Shetto, 28, fish stall owner from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Rehema Shetto, 28, has owned and operated a small fish stall in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for six months. Rehema buys fresh fish daily from local fishermen, then roasts and sells these fish either in the fish market or along the roads of Dar. Through her sales, Rehema makes a monthly profit of $120. As a SELFINA client, she is able to purchase fish in larger quantities for her business. In the future, Rehema plans to open another stall. GBF’s investment will help SELFINA increase the scale of its services, broaden its geographic reach, and deepen its impact in poor rural communities.
