LATCO International SRL

LATCO, an SRL (Limited Liability Company), is a producer and exporter of organic sesame seeds and other organic products such as beans and quinoa, and promotes the production of alternative crops in depressed and grossly impoverished areas of Bolivia.

LATCO offers a stable and growing market to farmers who have traditionally depended on growing corn, rice, and sorghum for the volatile local market.  The company sources inputs from communities of small-scale farmers, and provides them with technical assistance in production techniques, certification, and other areas. Growing sesame seeds is a great long-term, sustainable alternative for these farmers, which considerably improves their income and livelihoods.
