Honey Care Africa-Tanzania
Honey Care Africa - Tanzania (HCAT) is a socially responsible enterprise that promotes small-scale beekeeping as a sustainable source of income for low-income rural households. It provides a comprehensive package of assistance and services, ranging from training and start-ups financing to technological improvements and market access. HCAT works with small-scale farmers, offering training in commercial beekeeping (primarily to women and youth), access to start-up financing for equipment such as hives, and improved beehive technology and harvesting techniques that increase productivity and protect the environment.
GBF is providing HCAT with a loan to support expansion and diversify its supply chain. GBF's investment in HCAT will also assist to strengthen business operations and management capabilities.
